SOIL:OurInvisibleAlly
Facilitating the implementation of EU soil legislation in Alpine municipalities by seizing transnational knowledge, promoting mutual learning and fostering cross-sectoral implementation on the local level

Only healthy and living soils can provide high levels of resilience to climate change, remain a stable source of our food, purify drinking water, and regulate the climate and water cycle. SOIL:Ally addresses the issue of soil quality decline by bridging the gap between knowledge, legislation, and implementation of Sustainable Soil Management measures. By converting existing knowledge into applied solutions, the project makes Sustainable Soil Management more easily accessible and enables stakeholders to learn and adopt practices for better soil conservation.
Links4Soils
Linking Alpine Soil Knowledge for Sustainable Ecosystem Management and Capacity Building

Soil provides us with many services, often unrecognized: it purifies water, retains it in the case of floods, stores large amounts of carbon, allows plants to grow and influences our well-being in many ways. Its wide-ranging functions make soil governance difficult for public administrations, which often lack soil knowledge and applicable management tools.
To provide this much-needed soil expertise and information, Links4soils created the alpinesoils.eu website curated by a transnational community of soil experts.
